Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India, according to Wikipedia. Mr. Eric Procknal of White Oak has been practicing Yoga to help with pain for years since he was injured in a car accident.

He has been a physical fitness instructor for years. Procknal gained a well respected reputation for physical training and Yoga instruction in Wilmington. Procknal teaches at East Arcadia Elementary school and really enjoys it, however, he wants to stay active while school is out for the summer.

Procknal announced early this week he will start holding Yoga Classes in Bladen County to stay closer to home. Procknal will be leading the Yoga Classes at Jones Lake this Summer. The classes will be held every Saturday from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. for donations only.

He invites all ages to attend the classes. His students range from children with attention issues, athletes, middle aged parents, and elderly adults. All are welcome to join the class according to Procknal.  He explained techniques can be specialized with instructions according to individual needs.

Jones Lake is located at 4117 N.C. 242 N. in Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
