Lemonade sales are up for Caroline and Hartleigh Britt and they are giving back to help a local family. There was a line for their tasty lemonade and cookies yesterday, Wednesday, August 5th in front of Bladenboro Florist.
The eight year old and six year old have been setting up their Lemonade Stand for about a month making money to save according to Caroline. These smart girls have their grandmother, Michelle Lennon assisting them with their efforts.
Michelle said, “I wanted them to learn to give back so we decided all the money they made today will go to help Ayven Lennon.” Ayven is a local five year old battling cancer. The girls raised a total of $121 for Ayven yesterday.
They gave credit to all their customers. Michelle said, “The people have been really appreciative and supportive.”
Michelle sits off to the side supervising and the girls wait on each customer with smiles, cups of lemonade and a cookie to top it off. Entrepreneurs could take some tips from these young ladies.
