Parades are enjoyed by many folks far and wide. Here in Bladen County, children enjoy the various parades with their colorful floats, beauty queens, fire trucks and police cars.
Recently, Elizabethtown marked the birthday of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a parade. The members of the Elizabethtown Police Department were all on hand to ensure the safety of the parade goers and those who were taking part in the event. During the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade young Kaden Davis stopped to talk officers he encountered and even asked to have his picture taken with them. The officers took time from their parade duties to fulfill young Kaden’s request as he enjoyed the parade.
