Spread the love

A photo exhibit featuring the works of Terry Wayne Young will be on display beginning Sunday, Aug. 1 at the Bladenboro Historical Society Building.

Describing it as something for all ages, Young, who teaches math at West Bladen High School, says the exhibit will allow visitors to stop and take a brief excursion to place and sights they might ordinarily overlook in southeastern North Carolina.

The exhibit will be open weekends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. through the last weekend in October. Young will be at the exhibit Aug. 14-15 to meet with visitors and answer questions. The Historical Building is located at 818 South Main Street.

Young always had an interest in art. He developed a love for photography while on a Christian mission trip. He shot his first wedding photos in Indonesia for a poor family that could not afford a photographer.

The art gallery is located on the second floor. It has been repainted by volunteers David and Cynthia DiCicco of DC Construction.
