Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Thoughts While ShavingTuesday night, President Trump will deliver his first State of the Union speech.  The annual event begins at 9 PM before both houses of Congress and will be carried live on TV and radio.

Early indications suggest his theme will be building a safe, strong and proud America.  Five major issues to be discussed by the president are: the economy, infrastructure, immigration, trade, and national security.

Not sure who made the decision on replacing two refrigerators on Air Force One at a cost of over $21,657,671.  Obviously not the President, but timing not good for folks looking for someone to blame.

And the much needed rain came down, more is needed.  Should be cloudy today with the possibility of another shower later today.

Discovered important news recently related to the auto industry.  Henry Ford was responsible or received credit for delivering 1,700 new Model T’s early in auto history.  And, according to the same source, over a million cars (several brands) had been sold by 1920.

The most popular cars in the 50s were:
1957 Chevy Bel Air
1957 Crosley Station Wagon
1950 Nash Cosmopolitan
1951 Studebaker 2 door sedan
1951 Muntz
1954 Hudson Hornet
1956 Imperial dash-mounted, push button “Power Flight” transmission.

Maybe nationally, but can’t believe that mix in Bladen County.
