TOWN ADMINISTRATOR

The Town of White Lake, located in Bladen County, North Carolina (population
874 full-time residents and seasonal population of 200,000) is currently seeking
energetic, results-oriented, forward-thinking candidates for the position of Town
Administrator. White Lake is a residential resort community dedicated to small
town values and a great quality of life while working to preserve and protect the
natural beauty of White Lake and encouraging responsible residential and
commercial growth. The lake, Cape Fear River, and close proximate to both
Fayetteville and Wilmington, provide for ample opportunities for recreation,
shopping, and relaxation and make White Lake an ideal place to work and call
home.
The Town Administrator will be responsible for the day to day operations of the
Town with 24 full-time and part-time employees and an operating budget of
approximately $3.6 million.
The Town Administrator must be actively engaged with the community and its
businesses. Candidates must have the ability to relate well to the community and
have the ability to partner with an engaged council to carry out the strategic
priorities of the community. Ideally, candidates would have experience in
marketing and branding of resort communities. The position requires any
combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation with a
Bachelor’s degree or Masters’ degree (preferred) in public administration or a
related field and some town management experience preferred. The Town
Administrator is required to live within Bladen County, NC. The Town operates
under a Mayor/Council form of government.
The hiring range is $65,000 to $90,000, with a full benefits package. Please submit

Apartment Manager needed.  We are looking for a friendly, outgoing individual who wishes to help provide quality affordable housing.  We are looking for a part-time apartment manager.  Duties include processing applications, qualifying households based on income, and collecting rents.  Detail oriented, self-motivated, computer literate individual needed. Position requires computer and good paperwork skills.  Apartment management experience, especially in RD / Tax Credit or other Affordable Housing is a plus.

 

Reliability and punctuality are a must!  Also, must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a drug test, credit and criminal background check. Position is part-time, 24 hours a week, $13.00 per hour.
