The National Weather Service Office in Wilmington has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for all of southeast North Carolina and northeast South Carolina from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. This watch also includes all coastal waters. Clusters/lines of storms producing damaging winds are the most likely threat, said Joshua Weiss, with the National Weather Service.
A severe thunderstorm watch means conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms.
