Bladen County is still being hammered with rainfall and catastrophic flooding from the remnants of Hurricane Florence. Some residents ventured out in Elizabethtown on Sunday morning to area stores in search of supplies.

Roadways were flooding and water is rising in many locations. Water rescues were reported to have taken place in Clarkton, Bladenboro and Elizabethtown.

Bladen County is forecast to receive another 3 to five inches of rain overnight Sunday into Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

NC DOT along with Emergency Management officials are asking people to stay off the roadways. Bladen County has a curfew in place from 8 p.m. until  7 a.m.
