Do you remember when you could travel by rail in Bladen County? Catch the train in Clarkton or Bladenboro and travel east or west… I barely remember…
Thought about that recently while in the Clarkton area and saw all the “little rail work type cars”, obviously workers attempting to make the rail system safer… Later saw them down east in the Brunswick County area…
Speaking of rail, CSX will be doing more work in Bladen and adjoining counties… May cause a delay for a few days…in the Clarkton, Bladenboro and Butters area… If they are spending time and money upgrading, hope it is a sign of confidence in the system and the area…
Retirement is not for “wimps”…Very busy…Never ending appointments with folks that think retirement means your time is worth little… Remember, I have another appointment…smile… I wish I had more patience. Guess some things never change….
Another pet peeve…someone I do not know calls me with my name, address and obviously my phone number, telling me about something that I am suppose to be excited about and I must ask him/her to repeat…Want to be nice, but I do not have time for something I am not interested in, explained by someone I can not understand…
