Thoughts While Shaving
Looking forward to this day, after the storm yesterday.  Checked with National Weather Service on info gathered at the local airport (Curtis Brown) just east of Elizabethtown.  Highest sustained winds were in the 28 mph range with gusts as high as 38 mph between 4:30 PM and 5 PM.  As you know, winds were strong all day long.
Rainfall totals at the same location, 2.4 inches from 10 am ’til the storm passed.  My guess is rainfall varied greatly in the area.  It was an interesting day.
Should be much different today.  Increasing clouds, with a high near 67.  Southwest wind 11 to 16 mph, with gust as high as 24 mph.  Tonight, mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 48.  Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph.
Easter Sunday, mostly sunny, with a high near 68.  West wind 6 to 9 mph.
A reminder of the Easter Egg Hunt for those who pre-registered at Jones Lake State Park, today from 11 am until 1 pm.
Sunrise services and Cantatas at numerous churches throughout the area tomorrow.  All are welcomed to attend the church of your choice.
Easter services tend be the best attended services throughout the year, with youngsters and adults ‘sporting’ their new Easter finery.
Remember attending Zion Hill Baptist (near Bladenboro) as a youngster in my new shirt mom made from a feed bag.  Shopping for hog and chicken feed was an important occasion for our family.  The printed bags were soon made into shirts for the males in the family.
Pretty ‘slick’ marketing campaign for the makers of the feed.
Easter church signs:
Friday’s victim became Sunday’s victor.
Raise Palms in praise: Always!
He’s Up, He’s Out, He’s Still About.
