It is time for student scholarships to be given out. Jose Rodriguez introduced Abby Norris at the Elizabethtown Rotary Club meeting today. He said, Abby just won the Curtis Brown Scholarship of $2,500 and now we are presenting her with our scholarship.”
Rodriguez continued, “If you listen to your parents, and work hard at school good things will happen. Abby is a great example of hard work paying off.”
Club President, Paul Norris, presented Abby with the Elizabethtown Rotary Club Scholarship of $500. Abby accepted the scholarship and said, “Thank for awarding me this scholarship. I’m going to Chapel Hill next year to study Biology. Thank you so much.”
Abby was accompanied at the meeting by her mother Stephaine, her father, Eddie, her brother, Nick and her boyfriend, Matthew. Abby, the East Bladen graduate will start at UNC Chapel Hill in the fall of this year.
