Easter Monday, and for those who celebrated on Friday, time to return to work.  For others, a day off.

According to the Bladen County School calendar, Spring Break for students and staff, except Bladen Early College.

Just a few weeks remain before this school year is over and the Class of 2019 moves on to college or joins the workforce, maybe the military.

I remember those days, years later and think of the many important decisions since that date for me.  Guess reaching the ripe old age of 16 and getting my drivers license and graduation (Class of 56) stand out as a couple of the highlights of my younger days  Others include marriage and the birth of 2 sons…Later, marriages of sons, birth of grandchildren and another wedding….

Hope your Easter was a good one.  Attended a very good Easter Service…

News out of Sri Lanka gets worse.  The latest total of dead has reached 290, hundreds more injured and both numbers could grow.  Churches bombed by terrorists, senseless killings on the island nation in South Asia.  Some arrest have been and all social media sites have been blocked.

And, in America, more squabbling, name calling….little accomplished by those elected and paid to do our work…

Success isn’t measured by money or power or social rank.  Success is measured by your discipline and inner peace.  Mike Ditka

Every breath we take, every step we make, can be filled with peace, joy and serenity.  Thich Nhat Hanh

For every minute you remain angry, you give up sixty seconds of peace of mind.  Ralph Waldo Emerson
