Here are Three Things to Know for Friday, January 31:
1. Bladen County high school basketball teams play tonight. East Bladen plays at Fairmont and West Bladen plays at Whiteville. Junior varsity girls’ games start at 4 p.m. followed by JV boys, varsity girls and varsity boys.
2. Join a Jones Lake State Park ranger Saturday at 2 p.m. to learn about the various snakes in the area and the other unique species found throughout the state. Information: 910-588-4550. Event is free.
3: The Elizabethtown Town Council meets Monday at 7 p.m. The meeting will be at Town Hall, which is located at 805 W. Broad Street.
