The popular Beast Fest held in Bladenboro, NC, has been canceled for October 2020, due to COVID-19. Chairman of the event, Charles Ray Peterson, announced the news.

The Boost the Boro, Inc., event draws thousands of people to the area each year. This year would be the 14th annual Beast Fest. The event was scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 30 and 31, 2020 before the organizers decided to cancel the festivities.

“We might decide to do something for the kids, but we won’t know until later this year,” Peterson said, “but the festival is canceled.”

Beast Fest is one of the fastest-growing festivals in the region. Each year on the last weekend in October the festival offers amusement rides, a large variety of vendors, live entertainment, trunk or treating, and the famous “Collard Sandwich.”
