I am a huge sports fan … enjoy high school sports, college sports and professional … Just wonder if high schools and colleges will have fall sports, no high school football on Friday night, no soccer. Several college conferences have either delayed or canceled football this year … and high school and college football provides the financial where-with-all that supports non-revenue sports … track, golf, tennis, and more.
It’s good to see students at lower levels being provided with laptops … a must if they are to operate in the world today and a real strain, financially, for many families. Many have no internet access, however companies like Star Telephone continue to provide ‘hot spots’, free access to the internet…
Wish I could look a year ahead, well I think I would like to see a year from now. What will our world be like? Between now and then, lots of action … including elections from the courthouse to the White House…
Looking forward to a time when a vaccine will be available to slow or stop the spread of the virus … and who knows, maybe our mail service will be up-to-speed. That is another topic…
Anyone else having mail issues? Mailed a check to Bladen County Water Department July 17, it was returned to our box on August 7 … correct address, had postage, same as over the past many years … Had Charlotte, NC stamp on it. I hand delivered to the water department Saturday. #2 son mailed small package (envelope) Wednesday from Dunn, NC, still haven’t received. Not sure COVID-19 has anything to do with the mail service…
Guess everyone has issues, mine are probably minor compared to many.
