Here are Three Things to Know for Friday, October 23:
1. Sports are back in Bladen County! The Recreation Department’s youth softball and baseball seasons open at 6 p.m. today at County Park. The Zombies play the Beasts in 5-7 Coach-Pitch softball and the Red team plays the Black team in 13-14 baseball. (SEASON SCHEDULE)
2. United Way of Bladen County’s Days of Caring are scheduled Nov. 2-6. Volunteers are needed for a variety of projects. Sponsorships are available and donations are accepted. 3. Harvest Hunt Magic Tricks & Treats event Oct. 31 at Dublin First Baptist Church. Activities begin at 5 p.m. in the back lot of the church on Albert Street. There will be a magic show, a message, prizes and candy.
