Purchasing treats for Halloween is not the only thing folks need to remember this weekend. Daylight savings time will have everyone turning back the hands that hold the time.

November 1, 2020, clocks will need to fall back one hour. The official time for people to turn the clocks back an hour is at 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Some may get an “extra” hour of sleep this weekend. Another note about the change is the day will grow darker earlier.

The winter solstice will be on December 21, and the sun will set a litter sooner each day until then. The amount of daylight will shorten each day until the winter solstice on December 21.

Just before spring, on March 14, daylight saving time will begin again, and clocks will “spring forward.”
