On Tuesday, May 25, investigators with the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office
arrested Makey Maleak Jones, B/M/24, of Lumberton for breaking into
lockers of employees at Smithfield Foods. During a search of Jones’ locker,
numerous items stolen from other employees were located.
Jones was charged with (3) counts of Breaking and Entering, (3) counts of
Larceny After the Fact of Breaking and Entering, (3) counts of Possession of
Stolen Goods, and (1) count of Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
Jones was placed in the Bladen County Detention Center under a $15,000.00
secured bond.
