Spread the love

A new venue is now open for guests in Bladenboro. Offering a rustic barn look and built from rough-cut lumber, the venue is affordable, appealing, and currently in the process of offering more to those who choose to host their events at The Venue at Barefoot Farms.

It all started when the owners, Melissa and Sandy White, began helping their daughter search for a wedding venue. Sandy explained, “We started looking for a venue for her wedding 8-10 months before her date, and it was really hard to find one.” He added, “Her Mom and I decided we would try to build a barn and maybe she could get married at home, so we built a gazebo out of an old grain bin.”

The ultimate goal of The Venue at Barefoot Farms is to provide a rustic, beautiful atmosphere at a reasonable cost for any event. The owners have hopes to expand and continue to offer more to their clients.

Sandy shared, “We are making additions to have dressing rooms for the bride and groom,  as well as a catering-prep area, indoor or outdoor wedding area, and tables and chairs for your event.” In regards to renovations that are currently underway, he said, “We are in the process of closing in both ends of the venue with large roll-open doors so it can be an open venue or closed-in. The upgrades should be finished in the next month or so.”

As a family owned-and-operated business, they strive to please their clients and help them in any way possible, to ensure that their event is just what they hoped for. Lastly, Sandy said, “We are a family-owned business trying to supply a service to our area at a reasonable cost for any occasion they may wish to celebrate.”
