Every now and then I am reminded of someone from long, long ago … maybe a name from the past that rekindles memories from yesteryear. Just when I am beginning to slow to an even slower pace, something ‘jogs’ my memory and life begins anew … A new name or an old name that haven’t thought about for years … And it usually occurs ’bout 2 a.m. when I should be sound asleep…
Spent several hours yesterday going thru old directory’s from a previous employment … Still have more to check. Actually was asked to submit names from a long time ago for a new project by a group of friends from that time. Put it off as long as possible, then discovered ‘this is fun’.
Wish someone could get the economy moving forward … soon … frustrating.
Thank the good lord above I was not born in Ukraine … So sad how citizens there are being treated, apparently all at the directions of a ruthless dictator in Russia.
Still thankful I moved from a tobacco field years ago to Hinson’s Super Market, my first employment other than a tobacco patch. No more planting a tobacco bed, setting out tobacco, topping, suckering, cropping, curing the golden weed in a tobacco barn, tanking out, grading, and finally delivering to a tobacco warehouse to be auctioned off and take what the buyers thought it was worth and then attempting to stretch proceeds to cover expenses.
