Robert Hester, Founder of BladenOnline.comHappy Easter to all … Easter Egg Hunts, Sunrise services and folks all dressed up for Sunday Worship Services…

Remember as a youngster … coloring eggs with crayons, and growing up in a Baptist Church, we attended card classes where our teacher told us about the meaning of Easter, and we had the card to carry home with us … All to reinforce what we were being taught at home … Good days … Then on to our grandparents for a delicious meal and time with cousins, aunts & uncles.

My Grandpa Hester was a huge fan of the Chuck Wagon Gang, and we needed to be quiet, maybe play outside for a while after lunch so he could listen to WRRZ in Clinton, a lot of cracklin’ on his battery operated radio … Good times…

Oh yes, wore our new shirt, or blouse for the girls, to church, one mom made from a bag of recently purchased chicken or hog feed … colorful bags … sorry, can’t resist ‘the good old days’ … the early to mid 40s and WW II was going strong.

Can’t erase those days from my memories, and can’t remember what happened yesterday…

Mostly sunny today, with a high near 75 and windy … 30% chance of rain tonight and 90% chance Monday…
