NWS warning for berry growers in Bladen, Robeson and inland Pender Couties and Marlboro, Darlington and Dillon counties in South Carolina … Frost Advisory in effect until 9 a.m. this morning. ‘Impact … Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered. Take steps to cover tender plants from the cold.’ Bet area blueberry growers rested very little last night…

The forecast gets better … today … sunny, with a high near 70. Mostly clear tonight, low around 44 degrees. Thursday, mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Highs for the weekend in the mid to upper 80s. Oh what a difference a day makes. Next chance for rain is Tuesday…

Hopefully, the blueberry crop is or will be OK…

A reminder … Shriner’s Fish Fry today … location is the Food Lion parking lot in Elizabethtown … mmmm good.

MacKenzie Gore had a great debut in Major League Baseball recently … more is expected. His hometown newspaper, The Whiteville News Reporter, has a very good article by Franklin Davis on the front page … I picked up my copy yesterday in Clarkton. May be worth something one day … like at his induction into the MLB Hall of Fame … Never know … I hope I am around to witness…

Thanks for kind words about “Thoughts” … Just kinda ‘shot from the hip…’

“Think it over – I know my youth has been spent and that my get-up has got-up and went, but I really don’t mind when I think (with a grin) of all the grand places my get-up has been.”
