Taylor holed a 72-foot putt to win … Picked up a cool $1,620,000 … Tommy Fleetwood lost the playoff, picked up $981,000. I was thinking that both were big winners, and they were. But Taylor, the first Canadian winner’s putt, was worth $639,000. Later saw an old, old interview by Ralph Emery of Grand ‘Ole Opry fame with Barbara Mandrall. Emery died in the past couple of years and Mandrell is set to receive the 2023 Country Music CRB Artist Career Achievement Award. She retired from the Country Music industry in 1997. I still enjoy ‘thoughts from yesteryear.’
