ElizabethtownPDAn Elizabethtown man has been charged with felony breaking and entering after shattering the glass at the drive-thru window of Anderson Drug early Friday morning, says Elizabethtown Interim Police Chief Kip Hester.

Corey Murchison of Smith Circle was caught about 4 a.m. a block away from the store with blood stains on his shirt and lacerations on his hand, Hester said. An investigation found nothing was taken from the store, Hester said.

Officers from Elizabethtown and the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm set off at the store on S. Poplar Street and discovered the shattered glass, Hester said.

Murchison was jailed under a $50,000 bond.
