The Men and Women United for Youth & Families organization is set to host its 16th Annual Tri-County Awards and Recognition Banquet on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 4:00 PM. The event will take place at the Berline P. Graham Multipurpose Building located at East Arcadia Elementary School, 21451 NC-87, Riegelwood, NC 28456.

This year’s banquet will feature a lineup of distinguished speakers who have made significant contributions in their respective fields. The honorary speakers include Jair McElveen, an East Bladen High School scholarship recipient, and Dr. Freddrianna McElveen-Martin, a Field Veterinary Medical Officer with the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).

Additionally, the event will have a special guest speaker, Dr. Robert Locklear, Ed.D., who serves as the Regional Impact Manager for My Future NC. Dr. Locklear is expected to bring valuable insights and inspiration to the attendees.

The Tri-County Awards and Recognition Banquet is a celebration of academic excellence, community service, and professional achievements. It provides an opportunity for the community to come together and honor those who have made a positive impact.

Men and Women United for Youth & Families continues to support and empower individuals through various programs and initiatives, making this annual event a cornerstone of community recognition and celebration.
