Thoughts While Shaving
I am not a huge fan of very cold weather, but must admit I enjoy the changing of the seasons…
Our first frost normally arrives the last few days of October….pretty much on time…Frost on the pumpkins…
Exciting NFL games yesterday…the Carolina Panthers scored another win over Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks……
Did you have some ‘me’ time yesterday?????
Thinking this morning about some of the businesses from days gone by….Melvin Brothers in Dublin, Bridger Corp and Hinson’s Super Market in Bladenboro, John Ward Service Station in Clarkton, McGills Restaurant and Corbett’s Men’s Store side by side near the intersection on Broad and Poplar Streets in Elizabethown….Crystal Beach at White Lake…..Bet you have your own list….Martin Wilson store in Tar Heel….M. Nance Drive-In near Butters…..White Oak, Ammon, East Arcadia, Kelly, Abbottsburg and more countywide…. One more near and dear to my heart….Fred Hester store near Zion Hill Baptist Church north of Bladenboro.
I am so proud of the work of the staff of BladenOnline.com….The ‘pages viewed’ continue to climb….I checked back yesterday to ‘days gone by’ and was pleasantly surprised….Maybe I share soon…..
Just for Today—I will live through the next 12 hours and not try to tackle all of life’s problems at once

Just for Today—I will do a good turn and keep it a secret. If anyone finds out, it won’t count.
Just for Today—I will have a program. I might not find it exactly, but I will have it. I will save myself from two enemies—hurry and indecision.
Just for Today—I will do two thing I don’t want to do, just because I need the discipline.
