Bladen County One-Stop Voting

Today was the first day for Bladen County’s One-Stop Voting at the Bladen County Public Library. When we stopped by around 1:30 this afternoon the judges reported a good turn out so far.

BladenOnline.com wanted a better picture of how the One-Stop Voting was going and how local voters felt about the option since three of the seven towns elected not to participate in the Early-Voting process. The three towns not participating are Dublin, East Arcadia, and Tar Heel.

We interviewed Elizabethtown voter Will King, and Judge for the One-Stop Voting, Tojie King.

Election Judge King said, “We have seen about 55 voters today and we hope to have about a total of 105 come through before the end of the day.”

When we asked Voter, Will King his thoughts on the Early Voting option, he said, “I think it’s great. It allows the voters easy access.”

According to Cynthia Shaw at the Bladen County Board of Elections, a total of 77 voters turned out to cast their vote today. Even though the Board of Elections did not quite reach the goal King suggested, they ended with a good number of people turning out to vote.
