We salute Veteran Edgar C. Evans of Bladenboro. He served in the US Army as a Private during the Korean War, earning a Purple Heart. This photo was taken during his time in Korea in 1953. He served as a mechanic during the war driving this truck to the front to retrieve damaged jeeps to the rear areas for repairs.
