1. The Dublin Fire Department is holding a Turkey Shoot tonight and Saturday at 7 p.m. each night at the station on 3rd Street. Proceeds benefit the department. The public is invited.
2. Join a Jones Lake park ranger and learn about the geological mysteries of the Carolina Bays. Formation theories and the natural communities associated with Carolina Bays will be discussed. Participants should meet at the Park Visitor center at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. The event is free. For information, call the park office at (910) 588-4550.
3. With Thanksgiving over, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Garland will have its Christmas tree lighting ceremony Saturday at 5:30 p.m. And, yes, Santa Claus will make an appearance. Everyone is invited.
