Stroud, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed CEO of Eastpointe, effective immediately. The Eastpointe Area Board voted on Tuesday to appoint Stroud to replace Ken Jones who announced earlier this month that he would be retiring April 1.

Stroud brings more than 20 years of executive experience in financial, clinical, operational and network management roles with LME/MCOs across the state. In her time at Eastpointe, Sarah has played a substantial role in strengthening the organization’s operations. Prior to entering the behavioral health care industry, she spent fifteen years in management with organizations such as Duke Energy and Lowe’s Companies, Inc., two of the nation’s leading companies.

“The Eastpointe Area Board is pleased to have Sarah take on the role of CEO of Eastpointe,” said Rob Boyette, Chair of the Eastpointe Area Board. “Her deep knowledge of all aspects of the business and the industry, as well as her proven track record and commitment to Eastpointe’s growth and delivering on its important mission makes her the ideal person to take on this important role.”

In her new role as CEO, Sarah will assume strategic leadership of the organization, responsible for setting the strategy and vision for Eastpointe. Jones will  serve as Senior Advisor to the Eastpointe Area Board and Stroud through April 1 to ensure a seamless transition and leadership continuity.

“I’m honored to assume the role of CEO of Eastpointe, especially at a time when Eastpointe is as strong an organization as it has ever been,” said Stroud. “I intend to build on the organization’s strength that Ken and our leadership team have worked hard to establish. I look forward to working with our dedicated staff and the counties we serve to continue to focus on innovative solutions to provide our members with the best care possible.”

“I’m extremely excited for what Sarah brings to this role and to Eastpointe,” said Jones. “Sarah, along with the support of the Executive team, have the experience to address any challenges presented in the future.”
