Bladen CountyThe Bladen County Board of Commissioners will meet on Monday and hear a facilities update from Bladen County Schools Superintendent Robert Taylor.

Also, the board is scheduled to present a Child Abuse Awareness Month proclamation and to approve the use fo the front lawn of the Bladen County Courthouse for a Child Abuse Awareness event on April 30. The board is scheduled to receive a food and nutrition services update from Bladen County DSS.

The board is also set to hear an update and hear a request from Bladen’s Bloomin’ Agri-industrial.  The board is expected to hold a public hearing regarding proposed funding to Bladen’s Bloomin’ Agri-Industrial, Inc.

The board will also hear an update on the county’s copier services and also take up the matter of an appointment to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council.

The board will also consider scheduling a meeting with the Legislative Delegation at the Bladen County Health Department on April 14, 2016 at 7 p.m. and also consider scheduling a Board of Equalization & Review meeting for May 2, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.

Under consent items the board will consider several items. Those items include: budget amendments, county attorney invoices, a Child Abuse Awareness Month proclamation, approval of county Social Services Records Retention & Disposition Schedule; acceptance of a United Way Grant to DSS; approval of issuance of checks for Employee Years of Service Recognition; approve NCACC Joint Risk Management Agency’s insurance proposals for FY 2017; approval of the 2017 Community Transportation Program Grant Application – Special Section 5333(b) Warranty and Certifications.
