The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Bladen County until 5:30 p.m.
The thunderstorm warning is for areas in southwestern Bladen County, Northwestern Columbus County, and Southeastern Robeson County. At 3:55 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located over Barnesville or about 15 miles south of Lumberton. The storm was moving northeast at 15 miles per hour.
The storm is capable of producing wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and quarter-sized hail.
