Shirley Gail Hill McBride, 80 of Clarkton, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Elizabethtown Nursing Center.
Mrs. McBride was born October 23, 1935 in Fairmont, NC, a daughter of the late Oliver Monroe and Docia Victoria Osborne Hill. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Douglas McBride.
Surviving are her daughter, Sonia McBride Scarboro (Charles) of Chapin, SC; grandsons, Aaron and Adam Scarboro; brothers, John Oliver Hill of Raeford, Charles Donald Hill of Clarkton, Kenneth
Temple Hill of Elizabethtown, William Larry Hill of Clarkton and sister, Marilyn Hill Brasher of Fayette, Alabama.
The family will greet friends from 2:30 to 3:30 pm Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe, followed by a time of remembrance of Mrs. McBride’s life. Interment will be held privately in Jones Springs
Cemetery in Derby.
