WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) issued the following statement in response to explosions in a Manhattan neighborhood and Marine Corps race in New Jersey, and a stabbing attack at a Minnesota mall, three separate incidents that occurred yesterday:
“We are incredibly fortunate that the attacks over the weekend did not take any innocent lives, and I join all North Carolinians in wishing for a speedy recovery for all victims,” said Senator Thom Tillis. “Lives were saved and the extent of injuries was mitigated because of the heroic work of first responders and law enforcement officials. The attacks are a glaring reminder that the threat of terrorism we face comes from perpetrators who are both foreign and domestic, and we must all continue to work together to keep our homeland safe.”
