WASHINGTON – In advance of President Trump’s Address to a Joint Session of Congress, Congressman Robert Pittenger has released a video tour of the U.S. Capitol, including a behind-the-scenes view of the Lincoln Room and a preview of what President Trump will see as he walks to the House Chamber.  Congressman Pittenger also shares his thoughts on the Joint Address.

“Tonight, we’ll have the great privilege of hearing from the President of the United States, the State of the Union, a tradition long held in our country, and one that we all look forward to as the President lays out his plans to protect our great freedoms,” explains Congressman Pittenger at the beginning of his video tour.

“As you look at the Dome behind me, what does it mean to you?  Well, I’ll tell you what it means to me and to all who I see all over the world:  freedom, liberty, and opportunity.  So unique and so special.  People desire to come to America, still, to come to our shores, because they hope to experience the freedoms that we have today.  Yet my responsibility, along with my colleagues, is to make sure we can protect those freedoms now and for future generations.”
