WASHINGTON – Fayetteville Congressman Robert Pittenger (NC-09) today announced a $1,925,763 grant for the Fayetteville Regional Airport terminal expansion project.  The grant will be used toward the demolition of the existing Concourse A and construction of the new Concourse A.

“Fayetteville’s airport is vital to economic expansion throughout the region, as well as providing local families and the families of our soldiers at Fort Bragg with convenient travel options,” said Congressman Pittenger (NC-09).  “As Fayetteville’s Congressman, I am committed to advocating for local priorities in Washington, and listening closely to the concerns of residents and local leaders.”

The U.S. Department of Transportation previously provided a $10 million grant to launch the airport upgrade project.  This latest grant will be used for Phase 2 of a 4 part project to build a 22,000 square foot terminal expansion to modernize the nearly 50 year old airport facility.
