Bladen County Seal with In God We Trust 1The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will meet on Monday night and discuss several issues.

The board is scheduled or present a proclamation regarding EMS Week and to recognize the NC Soil and Water Conservation Districts State poster winners; and issue proclamation fo Older Americans Awareness Month and Mental Health Awareness Month.

Finance Director Lisa Coleman is set to present the financial dashboard through the period ending April 30.

Bladen County Health and Human Services Director David Howard will be given the oath of office. he will also present several items. They are a 2015 community health assessment; a professional services agreement with Bladen Health Care, LLC, dba Cape Fear Valley-Bladen County Hospital; and a new employee orientation policy and procedure.

Howard will also ask the board to consider a fees, eligibility and billing policy and procedure; an agreement with Tucker Silver recovery services; an agreement with East Coast Migrant Head Start project; and a pharmacy services agreement with Anderson’s Drug Store.

The board will also consider approving a NC Department of Environmental Quality grant agreement; hear a request form Living Springs Church Outreach Ministry for the use fo the courthouse lawn; consider options regarding residency requirement; and schedule a special meeting regarding the 2016-17 budget for Monday, May 23.

Under consent items the board will amend the NC Department of Public Safety Agreement regarding Inmate Labor and approve a Home and Community Care Block Grant for Older Adults budget revision for 2015-16; and schedule a public hearing for Monday, June 6, regarding the FY 2016-17 proposed budget.

The board also consider advisory board appointments for the Carvers Creek Fire District, Dublin fire District and Kelly Water Dike and Drainage District Committee.
