Due to the projected path of Hurricane Florence, and to allow Emergency Management Operations time to open shelters, Bladen County Schools will be closed for students on Wednesday, September 12, through Friday, September 14, with an optional teacher workday on Wednesday, September 12.
Shelter locations in Bladen County are Bladen Lakes Primary School, East Arcadia School, East Bladen High School, and West Bladen High School. The pet friendly shelter will be located at West Bladen High School. All shelters will open to the public beginning at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 12, and are operated by Bladen County Emergency Management personnel.
