On Wednesday, August 4, Deputies with the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, Community Impact Team, stopped a vehicle near NC 211 and Highway 242 in the Bladenboro area. During the traffic stop, a K-9 was deployed and alerted law enforcement on the vehicle for possible drugs. According to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of approximately (15) grams of powder cocaine, $2,677.00 in U.S. currency, and drug paraphernalia.

According to authorities, charged during the stop was Tramel Lamar Howell, a 25 year old male of P and W Drive in Bladenboro. Howell was charged with: Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Felony Possession of Cocaine, and Maintaining a Vehicle for the Purpose of Drug Sells.
Howell was placed in the Bladen County Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond.
