On Monday, July 15th, the Bladenboro Rotary Club held their 57th Annual Awards & Recognition Banquet. Six outstanding Seniors at West Bladen High School were honored for their excellence in academics and community service.
Kevin Miguel Rivera and Violet Grace Allen were awarded the J. W. & Martha Black Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 each. This scholarship recognizes the top academic male and female in the Class of 2024.
Shamaria Jackson and Megan Pait were awarded the Commander Frank Callihan Elkins Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 each.
Kinley Hilburn and Kiera Lewis were given the Commander Frank Callihan Elkins Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500. This scholarship recognizes community service, as well as, academic excellence.
