FAYETTEVILLE, NC – July 1, 2024 – Today, Cape Fear Valley Podiatry – Foot & Ankle Specialists expanded services to patients with the opening of a new Resident Clinic at 1645 Owen Drive in Fayetteville. This marks the eighth Cape Fear Valley Podiatry – Foot & Ankle Specialists clinic in the region. Other locations are in Angier, Dunn, Elizabethtown, Fayetteville, Lillington, Lumberton and Raeford.

The new clinic, which is located directly across the street from Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and next door to Family Medical Supply, will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Patients currently being treated by Kristen McGinness, DPM, Podiatry Residency Director, and Cape Fear Valley’s podiatry residents will be seen at the new clinic location for all future appointments.

In this new location, resident doctors treat patients under the guidance of an experienced podiatrist.

“This residency clinic is the first of its kind in the country,” said Dr. McGinness. “It allows residents to build a rapport with the patient because they’re not always meeting someone for the first time.”

This continuity is associated with faster healing and fewer complications. It also gives patients time to build trust with the resident they see on every visit.

The clinic offers full podiatry services, including on-site x-ray capabilities. For appointments, call (910) 615-3668.
