The Town of White Lake, NC, is proud to announce the recent achievements of several dedicated employees, as recognized by Mayor Womble during the April 9, 2024, Town of White Lake Board of Commissioners meeting. Mayor Womble took the opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding accomplishments of these individuals, highlighting their commitment to excellence and service to the community.

Mayor Womble expressed his deep pride in the accomplishments of the Town of White Lake employees, stating, “It gives me great pleasure to recognize these employees from the Town of White Lake.” He proceeded to present certificates to the deserving recipients, congratulating each employee on their remarkable achievements and affirming the town’s collective pride in their success.

Police Officer Winfort Nichols: One of the employees recognized was Police Officer Winfort Nichols, who received the Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the NC Department of Justice of the State of North Carolina (NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission). This prestigious certificate reflects Officer Nichols’ dedication to continuous learning and professional development in the field of law enforcement.

Police Sergeant Joseph Graham: Another standout employee honored during the meeting was Police Officer Joseph Graham, who received a recommendation from Police Chief Bruce Smith for the vacant Police Sergeant position. Police Sergeant Joseph Graham was sworn into office on March 20, 2024, and also received the Intermediate Law Enforcement Certificate and the Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the NC Department of Justice of the State of North Carolina (NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission). Sergeant Graham’s promotion and certifications underscore his exemplary leadership and expertise within the law enforcement community.

Amber Glisson, Deputy Finance Officer: Additionally, Amber Glisson, Deputy Finance Officer for the Town of White Lake, received recognition for her achievement of the Certified Local Government Finance Officer certificate from the NC Government Finance Officers Association. This certification acknowledges Glisson’s proficiency in financial management and her dedication to maintaining the highest standards of fiscal responsibility within the town.

The Town of White Lake extends its sincere congratulations to Police Officer Winfort Nichols, Police Sergeant Joseph Graham, and Deputy Finance Officer Amber Glisson for their outstanding accomplishments.
