Clarkton, NC – The town of Clarkton is gearing up for its annual Community Day parade, scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 27. Organized by Mayor Jerome Myers, this year’s parade promises to be a heartfelt tribute to veterans and an exciting celebration for the entire community.

Mayor Myers, a retired veteran himself, is the driving force behind the event. He has extended invitations to all veterans and active service members in Bladen County, encouraging them to participate in or attend the parade. “I invite all veterans and those currently serving as well as everyone in Bladen County to either be a part of or attend the event,” Myers said.

The parade will kick off at the historic Cox Peanut Plant and will proceed along the length of US 701 Business, passing through the heart of downtown Clarkton. Residents and visitors alike can look forward to a vibrant procession featuring local organizations, businesses, school bands, and community groups.
