This will be the 26th annual Old Fashion Planter’s Day and is scheduled to begin on Friday, March 23, and Saturday, March 24, at Graham farm in Ammon. The gates will be open at 9 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday. There will be many activities to enjoy with the whole family! Some of the activities will include a Blacksmith, children’s games and rides, antique farm equipment, horse equipment, a swap meet, primitive tools and, craft vendors! Also a museum is now open for participates to explore. Inside there will be a saw mill, hit and miss engines, old tractors, live music, food and drinks and much more! For those that wish to attend will make a donation that will go towards the Ammon Volunteer Fire Department, Fire and disaster victims, and college scholarships. On March 23rd-25th the Clarkton Dixie Youth Baseball will have their regular season practice games. There will be a politician’s Appreciation Day event at Lu Mil Vineyard in Dublin. At 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, the Bladen County Democratic Party will be having its annual convention in the Superior Courtroom of the Bladen County Courthouse. The White Lake Baptist Church will have a Community Outreach Program from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 24.
