Bladenboro, NC – June 2024 – The First Baptist Church body and friends have demonstrated their commitment to community service through a generous donation of canned goods earlier this month. These donations were made to East Bladen High School and Carolina Crossroads, two local organizations dedicated to supporting those in need in the area.
The donation to East Bladen High School will support students and families, ensuring they have access to essential food items. Carolina Crossroads, a local organization that provides resources and support to individuals overcoming addiction and homelessness, will also benefit from this generous contribution.
In January 2024, the congregation of First Baptist Church, guided by the Holy Spirit, elected Rev. Spencer as their Pastor. Pastor David Spencer was born and raised in Lumberton, NC. He now resides in Laurinburg, NC, where he is the husband of his best friend, Tiffany Spencer, and the proud father of three children: Daveah, David Jr., and Amiyah Spencer.
“One thing we want to do in the ministry is serve the community,” said Pastor Spencer. “We believe we can make a lasting impact if we work together.”
Pastor Spencer and the First Baptist Church congregation are committed to continuing their efforts in serving the community and making a positive impact. The church looks forward to future opportunities to collaborate with local organizations and further their mission of service and compassion.
