Health Grades
Spread the love

Well January is already gone and with it, maybe the winter. 2020 is shaping up to be an historic year. Sunday was a palindromic date, (02/02/2020) which held the Super Bowl as well as Groundhog Day. I don’t know who you favored in the big game, but I was happy with the forecast of Punxsutawney Phil, the nations groundhog. It’s said that he didn’t see his shadow, so spring can just come right on along.

Our friends over at the Bladen County Health Department were busy in January too. They have issued the report on all of the local restaurants, cafeterias, kitchens, and meat markets they inspected last month, and the list is interesting. I’m happy to see that our county’s schools always receive good marks for sanitary conditions. Many other places earned high scores too but I noticed one that I’m not familiar with. It’s Petrena’s Jamaican Grill in Tar Heel, which held the highest sanitation grade for January and I didn’t even know it was there. I’d like to go try some.

Check out the list below before you decide where you’d like to eat and as always, Bon Appitité.
