Some folks may have noticed they couldn’t access their Twitter accounts for a time during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
According to officials at Twitter, the company experienced a global outage and visitors to the website and mobile app are reported to have been greeted with a message “Something is technically wrong.”
The website Down Detector seems to indicate that Twitter went down sometime around 3:27 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Twitter’s status board also posted the following message: “Some users are currently experiencing problems accessing Twitter. We are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution.”
The service seems to be back up and running normally. There has been no word yet on what caused the outage.
