On Saturday, July 27 at 3 pm the town of Clarkton will host an exceptional event where Nadine Shipman will unveil her latest work, A Family Legacy: North Carolina State Legislator, The Honorable John J. Newell of Bladen County 1847, 1879,1881, 1883. Attendees can expect much more than a book signing; this event will also have refreshments and detailed discussions on the book’s exploration of early Bladen County and African American legislator John J. Newell.
This is an opportunity to come together and celebrate literature and local history. This event will be held at the Clarkton Town Hall Building – 81 N Elm St, Clarkton, NC 28433. You do not want to miss it!
