The Elizabethtown Fire Department is following the construction of their new fire engine with great interest and attention to detail. The fire engine is expected to arrive in late April according to Chief Nick West.

A recent update shows the cab has now been placed on the chassis of the truck. The truck is built of aluminum and will have both fire and rescue capabilities, said West. the truck will also have a  450 horsepower engine, carry 1000 gallons of water and pump 1500 gallons per minute. West added the color scheme for the truck will be unique in that it will feature a metal gray over red.

The truck is being built in Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania
