The Corps of Cadets at Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy is extending their heartfelt thanks to Mr. Jamie Moore, the carpentry instructor at Bladen Community College, for his invaluable instruction and guidance. Mr. Moore has been instrumental in teaching the Dual Enrollment Cadets how to build a mock doghouse for their campus, providing them with practical hands-on experience.
The Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy in Elizabethtown is the only Military Charter School in North Carolina. The tuition free academy’s mission is to serve its cadets through a commitment to excellence in education, preparing them for today, tomorrow, and the future. The academy offers an academically rich program that encompasses all essential life skills, including reading, communication, critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, work ethic, integrity, physical wellness, and leadership.
The academy believes that all cadets will transform into responsible citizens. The commitment to providing quality education through rigor and mastery ensures that cadets are well-prepared for the challenges of the 21st century.
Dual Enrollment Opportunities
Bladen Community College offers seamless dual enrollment opportunities to qualifying high school students through the Career and College Promise Program (CCPP). This program allows high school students to pursue a high school diploma while concurrently working towards earning a postsecondary academic credential, including certificates, diplomas, or degrees. These credentials provide essential academic training, enabling students to pursue college transfer interests and entry-level employment opportunities.
